Setting a company-wide voicemail message
Often you will want a general mailbox that is used for all night messages and perhaps also some general day messages that aren't appropriate to go to an individual. To set up a message on a mailbox like this.
# Browse to your 3CX Admin Console.
1. Click on Users
2. Look for your 'Company Voicemail' box. This may also be called 'General Voicemail' or 'General VM'.
3. Click on the Voicemail tab in the user settings.
4. You now have a number of ways to record the greeting.
5. To upload a file, click the below button and select the file.
Your must be in the following format:
WAV
Mono
16-bit
8000kHz Sample rate
6. To record a message using your computer microphone, press the button below.
7. Once you've record your message, insure you click the Upload button to complete.
8. To record from a desk phone, select the button below.
9. Set a file name, and then select the extension you wish to record from.
After clicking OK, the selected phone will ring. Speak your message, and then press # to confirm. You then need to press 0 to save. Listen to the prompts the system gives for more options.
10. Once you've message has been recorded, insure its set in the greeting dropdown.
11. Click on Save to complete.
